The FCA’s report warn against The Money Supermarket – clone of authorised firm. Clone firms are using the details of authorised firms. Fraudsters then try to convince people that they work for a genuine, authorised firm.
Fraudsters usually use this method to contacting people out of the blue, so you should be especially careful if you have been cold called. They may use the name of the genuine firm, the ‘firm reference number’ (FRN) or other details.
