Copper
The value of copper increased due to hopes for economic recovery in the world. Demand for this commodity is still growing and, for example, in China, the world’s largest consumer of the metal, is facing high demand, which has reduced copper stocks to the lowest level in decades. Copper is mainly used for the production of many building materials, water pipes or electrical conductors. In recent years, its consumption has also been growing due to the increasing use of green resources in the automotive industry. About 60 kilograms of copper are needed to make an electric car, while a car with an internal combustion engine contains about four times less of this metal.
